Milestones of our development

1925

Founded in Dresden

KERB-KONUS was established in Dresden to commercialize a patented fastening technology for grooved connecting elements. The goal was to develop a cost-efficient fastening solution that eliminates the need for complex and expensive fitting processes. This led to the creation of grooved pins and grooved nails as an alternative to traditional fastening elements such as screws, taper pins, and rivets.

Research & Development Foundations

Since grooved pins and grooved nails were entirely new types of fastening elements, the necessary expertise had to be developed from the ground up. Extensive research into the grooving behavior of metals, along with the definition of groove types and dimensions, laid the foundation for industrial applications.
